At the Independent Learning Centre in Shefford, we believe we can provide your child with a real advantage in the learning process and here is why:

1. In Shefford, we are part of a National Group of Independent Learning Centres with access to the most advanced educational software systems – usually only available to the public school sector and centres of advanced education.

2. We are also professional teachers with many years of classroom and private tuition experience. We understand the learning challenges of young people and the SATs and exam structures into which they have to fit.

3. Our systems employ one on one computer managed learning sessions which are tailored to your child’s individual capabilities and challenges – and these systems track and learn about your child’s progress and needs, so modifying and developing the level and content of the material presented.

We monitor your child’s progress individually and continuously so that we are always able to provide personal support at those difficult learning points and we always know what level your child occupies in the National Curriculum structure. In fact we can provide a useful indication of how they will perform in SATs and GCSE exams.
